Director's Biography
JAISHANKAR ARYAR
Jaishankar Aryar, a self-taught Indian filmmaker and former engineer, won the 'New Currents' award at Busan IFF 2022. Transitioning from a seven-year IT career, he created acclaimed short film 'LACCHAVVA' and the feature SHIVAMMA, mentored at WIP lab Film Bazaar. SHIVAMMA premiered at Busan IFF, winning multiple awards, including 'Young Jury Award' in Nantes and 'Best Director' at FAJR IFF. Aryar is now working on his second feature film.
