Synopsis

Life is not the most fulfilling for sixteen-year-old Meng: Lounging at home with his grieving father on a daily basis, being excluded from his family’s past, and being forced into bullying other kids at school. Everything changes when he is thrown into a life-altering adventure that propels him into an exciting unfamiliar landscape.

JOW ZHI WEI

Jow Zhi Wei studied at Le Fresnoy Art School in France and the Lasalle College of the Arts in Singapore. Since 2010, he has been a member of the Golden Horse Film Academy in Taiwan. In 2014, he received the Young Artist Award from the government of Singapore. After making three short films that screened at festivals including San Sebastián and Cannes, MÍNG TIAN BI ZUO TIAN CHANG JIU is his debut feature.
