Synopsis

Norwegian academic Samuel breathed his last in a Santhali village, expressing his wish to be buried in the village. Bidu is driven by the desire to respect Samuel's final wish. Meanwhile, Bidu's young son grapples with the heartbreaking reality that his dream of visiting Norway, promised by Samuel, may remain unfulfilled. However, a glimmer of hope emerges with the arrival of Samuel's daughter, Lauren, in the village, breathing new life into the boy's shattered dreams.

UTTAM KAMATI

An independent filmmaker from India, Uttam Kamati has recently completed his debut feature-length movie titled KHERWAL. He crafted several short films, including HOPW, which received accolades at the sustainability contest in Dresden, Germany, and the FINI festival in Mexico. He has served as a cinematographer, assistant director, and scriptwriter for feature films, advertisements, short films, and music videos. In addition to his work in film, he has also gained recognition in the field of photography. Notably, in 2015, he was honored with the Environmental Photographer of the Year award in London, as well as distinctions from the DMZ International Half and Half Photography Contest and DMZ Global Peace Award in South Korea, and the FIAP Bronze from Turkey, among others.
